Fifty-six years after the last concentration camp was liberated, the AU Hillel foundation is memorializing the victims lost in the Holocaust. Beginning at noon, individual students, AU organizations and community members will continuously read victim's names for 24 hours in an annual conference on the AU Mall. History meets beauty with today's jewelry sale on the Mall. Sponsored by the AU Art History department, sterling silver rings, necklaces and bracelets will be available for purchase. The Steward Observatory brings the question of life to the table with today's lecture, "How Did Life Begin? A Search for the Answer Beyond the Earth." The lecture, beginning at 7:30 p.m. and followed by an optional viewing of the night sky, will focus on the origin of the stars and planets throughout our solar system. For more information regarding this lecture, the 21-inch telescope used for viewing or future Steward Observatory events, please call Thomas Fleming at 621-5049.

If "Snatch" has gotten old and "Traffic" was too long, check out tonight's AU School of Music and Dance's faculty artists presentation of Norman Weinberg. The 7:30 p.m. concert, sponsored by the Muller Music Center, will showcase a combination of percussionists, pianists and additional instrumental pieces. The concert will close with the modern "Orgel" performed on solo glockenspiels and two vibraphones. Tickets range from $4-$10 and are available through the AU Fine Arts box office at 621-1162.

If your daily workout is putting you to sleep, try burning calories at today's "Floor Hockey Spot Shot" at the AU Student Recreation Center. Games will be held between noon and 6 p.m., and prizes will be given in various categories. Take your best shot, and call the Intramural Sports Office at 621-8723 for more information regarding this exciting game.
