An unknown man masturbated in front of a UA student while sitting in his car Thursday, reports stated.
The student said a male in his 30s, who was driving a light-colored, older-model station wagon, stopped her near North Vine Avenue and East Seventh Street, and asked her directions to the UA, reports stated.
As the student began to give the man directions, she noticed the man has his pants undone and appeared to be masturbating while sitting in the vehicle, reports stated.
The man then asked the student to "suck it," reports stated.
The student said she then ran away and did not get the license plate number of the vehicle, reports stated.
The student said she did not think she would be able to identify the man either, reports stated.
There are no suspects at this time.
A former UA student stole a "boot" and "lock" after they were put on his car Wednesday evening, reports stated.
An employee of Parking and Transportation told police the man's car was parked in a load/unload zone located on 1010 E. South Campus Drive, and was locked using a bright yellow "boot," reports stated.
The employee said the car remained there until Thursday morning when he noticed that the vehicle, boot and lock were all gone, reports stated.
Officers determined that the vehicle was registered to a former UA student and attempted to locate his current telephone number, but were not successful, reports stated.
The boot was valued at $450 and the lock at $30, reports stated.
The case will be turned over to UAPD detectives.
An off-duty Tucson Police Department officer witnessed a Tucson man threaten to cut the throat of a restaurant employee Thursday, reports stated.
The officer said Raymond Jones, 29, of the 2000 block of Speedway Blvd., produced a box cutter from his pocket and said "I'll cut your fuckin' throat," to an employee of Jack in the Box, 934 E. Speedway Blvd., reports stated.
UAPD police responded and approached Jones, who had moved across the parking lot to Subway, 914 E. Speedway Blvd., reports stated.
As they approached Jones, he got up from his seat and officers told him "stay there," but he continued to rise.
A UAPD officer drew his firearm and Jones curled up on the ground and officers handcuffed him, reports stated.
Jones was then turned over to Tucson Police Department and arrested, reports stated.
A UA student's car was stolen from a UA parking lot Thursday, reports stated.
The student said she parked her 1993 Saturn SLI, valued at an estimated $5,000, in a parking lot located at 421 N. Cherry Ave. Thursday morning and when she returned that evening, it was gone, reports stated.
Officers did not see any glass in the area where the car was stolen, reports stated.
There are no witnesses or suspects at this time.
A UA student called police Thursday after his car was damaged on two separate occasions while parked in a UA parking garage, reports stated.
The student said he parked his 1996 Chevy Blazer in a parking garage located at 1140 N. Park Ave. on Jan. 25, and when he returned, noticed there was a one-foot dent on the left rear tire, reports stated.
A second incident occurred Thursday when the student noticed that there were three scratches along the passenger side of his vehicle that covered the length of his car, reports stated.
The student does not know what caused the scratches, reports stated.
The cost to repair the damage to the car has not been determined, and there are no witnesses or suspects for either incident.
