Students will go to the polls today and tomorrow to cast their votes in the races for 13 ASUA offices. For nearly the past month, 23 candidates have been campaigning on platforms ranging from improving academic advising to putting more green grass on the Mall. The Arizona Daily Wildcat asked students what they consider to be the most important issues in this week's election.

"Students running should be more concerned about issues they have control over. Some things are not realistic, or dumb, like synchronizing clocks on campus or greener grass on the Mall when we already know it will be taken care of."

Heather Schwamb, accounting and finance senior.

"Funding for student clubs, especially sports clubs because they have to travel."

Paul Anderson, business management and psychology senior.

"I think one thing that Wailele Sallas and Aaron Black were saying, that the upkeep for the grass around this area is really kind of ridiculous. If you want to go play touch (football) or something, it is not really up to par. Plus, the misting system would be a great thing."

Jason Caballero, electrical engineering sophomore.

"The food on campus in general. I think they can do something about that, try to get places like the Cactus Grill and Cafˇ Sonora to stay open a little longer. My biggest complaint with this campus as a whole is getting food on campus at the times I need it to be available."

Copeland Bryan, aerospace engineering freshman.

"Try and get us clubs more recognized. I think one of the candidates for administrative vice president mentioned doing something where one club or organization comes every week to the Mall. I think that is a good idea."

Shawn Fernando, chemistry, and molecular and cellular biology senior.
