Do you enjoy a glass of chardonnay or merlot with your supper? Maybe you like wine so much you want to make your own. All day today at the UA Campus Agricultural Center at North Campbell Avenue and East Roger Road, Arizona Wine Growers Association and the Cooperative Extension of the UA will teach potential wine growers the proper methods for producing wine grapes in the desert Southwest. The course costs $125, which includes course material, tours and field demonstrations. Two days of lecture and one half-day of field demonstrations and tours are planned. For some insight on foreign affairs during World War II, look no further than the German Film Series showing "I Was Nineteen." Director Konrad Wolf examines his own tale of returning to Germany after serving in the Russian army. The film is in German with English subtitles. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. in the Modern Languages auditorium. If you did not already know, the UA is world renowned for its optical science prowess. In other words, we make great lenses to see things more clearly in space.
