As the Social and Behavioral Sciences College searches for a new dean, it recognizes student, staff and faculty desire to be a part of the process. Renu Khator, the interim dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of South Florida, will be in the Douglass building, Room 101, to participate in an open forum. He will answer questions and address issues about becoming a dean. The forum runs from 11 a.m. to noon. A faculty-only forum will be held from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. in the Douglass building, Room 102, and a staff-only forum will follow from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. in Room 101. Today, staff members from UA will show off their talents during a lunch session of Music on the Mall, presented by the Staff Advisory Council. On the topic of new deans at UA, the College of Education is also searching for a new leader. Catherine Emihovich, a professor and dean in the College of Education at California State University-Sacramento, will be in the Education building, Kiva Auditorium, from 3:45 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. for another open forum.
