October is Sexual Assault Awareness Month and the UA Oasis Center has plans to address the problem with fervor. Representatives from the resource center will be on the UA Mall today conducting their annual Clothesline Project. Stop by the display and pick up information on campus resources, University of Arizona Police Department prevention tips and sexual assault awareness classes. Yesterday you saw the wall, today see the "ladies" at the Coming Out Week Annual Drag Show. Watch these UA men and women strut their stuff in celebration of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered pride at noon. Sponsored by ASUA Pride Alliance, the event will showcase the outlandish styles of a variety of UA students on the UA Mall in front of the Old Main Fountain. Learn how to "Perfect Your Presentation or Class Conference" at today's Graduate Writing Workshop at 4 p.m. Kendra Gaines from the Writing Skills Improvement Program will be on hand to discuss strategies for preparing and delivering public addresses. Take charge of your future and attend today's Government Career Forum at 6 p.m. Explore opportunities within local and national government branches while meeting a variety of different state employees. Pick up information on alternative careers in a variety of fields including law enforcement and education. Panel members will offer advice on setting career goals and obtaining them. With several lives lost and impending war on the horizon, it is important to vent our fears and frustrations about the current military situation involving every corner of the globe. Share ideas and knowledge about the Sept. 11 attacks on the United States at tonight's "Sept. 11: Through the Media" discussion at 7 p.m. This forum, held in the Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering building, Room 202, provides a safe environment for exchanging feelings and concerns regarding terrorism, war and national tragedy.
