Welcome to our world, mom and dad! Today is the beginning of Family Weekend 2001. There are a variety of activities planned for the whole family including football games, murder mystery dinner theatre, tours around campus and around Tucson and much more! Halloween is just around the corner and the time has come to sprinkle your apartment or dorm room with ghosts, goblins and pumpkins. If you haven't found the perfect pumpkin to carve with your friends and family, check out the annual Alternative Breaks Pumpkin Patch sale on the UA Mall. Open your "Eye on Diversity" and get some tasty grub at tonight's International Food Festival from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Sample Mexican, Chinese, Italian and Japanese food prepared by UA students and faculty. Music from around the globe will transform the Park Student Union into a virtual map of food and fun. For more information, call 621-0760.

Support your country and get that car of yours clean at tomorrow's Marine Corps carwash. This soap and water event starts at 10 a.m. and dries up around 3 p.m. The Tucson Marine Corps Reserve will donate a portion of the proceeds to the Red Cross in light of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks on America. It's football season, and your UA Wildcats are prepped and ready for action. Catch them throwing passes and executing plays at tomorrow afternoon's game at Arizona Stadium against Southern California. Get up early and tailgate with other fans on Bear Down Field at noon. After soaking up the rays, head on down to the Arizona Stadium for Alltel's Family Fiesta. Tickets for the game can be purchased through the McKale ticket office at 621-2287.
Tucson's dogs and cats stretch their paws from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in support of Sunday's Fourth Annual Kids' Pet Day at the UA Agricultural Center located at 4101 N. Campbell Ave. Events for the day include a live radio show broadcast, live animal demonstrations, apple-bobbing, face-painting, raffles and giveaways. Donations of one can of pet food are requested.
