Spruce up those spruces and pep up those poppies! The Pima County Cooperative Extension will sponsor a houseplant gardening presentation at 9 a.m. at the Extension Garden Center, 4210 N. Campbell Ave. Representatives will use samples of house plants for identification, diagnosis and treatment. The demonstration lasts about an hour and is free. Contact Cooperative Extension at 626-5161 for more information.


Find your calling. UA Career Services will hold walk-in, free counseling at Old Main in the lower level at the reception desk from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. For more information about the session, contact Career Services at 621-4224 or at http://www.career.arizona.edu.


Add some clarity to the day through ritual. The Lionel Rombach Gallery plays host to "Defining Ritual," a mixed media presentation featuring work by Tom Coaker, Kerry Phillips, Monika Dalkin, Z. Pamela Karimi and Kelvin Yazzi. The school of art in the College of Fine Arts is presenting the work from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sundays. Need to kick those Christmas pounds? Pop over to the University Services building, Room 323, from noon to 12:45 p.m. every Wednesday this month for a supportive, informal Weight Watchers at Work meeting. Join Dr. David M. Labiner, director of the Epilepsy Program at the University of Arizona College of Medicine, while he lectures about "The Many Indications for Antiepileptic Medications." Problems with your significant other? Go to the University Medical Center DuVal Auditorium at 7 tonight for a seminar about chronic relationship conflicts. Patti Harada, a UA psychology of love and spirituality instructor, will present a biological and spiritual view of women and men and how they interact.
