Join the Arizona diving squad all day today at the Hillenbrand Aquatic Center for the Arizona Diving Invitational. For more information about all the splish and splash, contact the McKale Ticket Office at 621-2287 or visit http://www.arizcats.com.

The UA Ski & Snowboarding Club wants you! It will be selling homemade baked goods on the UA Mall today while recruiting new members. The bake sale and new member drive begins at 10 a.m. and ends at 2 p.m., so be sure to catch the pastries and cookies before the club leaves you in its wake. Contact Chris at 695-2001 for more information about bear claws and bindings.

Grab your beer helmets and winter jackets - the Icecats are back on the frozen pond tonight at 7:30 against the Colorado State Rams. UA's club hockey team plays at the Tucson Convention Center, 260 S. Church St., and tickets cost between $4 and $9. For more information, contact the TCC Box Office at 749-2590, or visit the Icecats Web site at http://www.uaicecats.com/homep.html.

If you like the cold but don't like watching grown men knock their teeth out on an ice rink, maybe the International Arts Society Film Series' presentation of "Lovers of the Arctic Circle" is your Friday evening ticket. The film doesn't actually feature polar bears, but lovers who lead circular lives, have circular names and whose fates are determined by chance and circumstance. The series is free. The movie begins at 7:30 p.m. in the Modern Languages auditorium. For more information, contact Charles Scruggs at 621-3557 or scruggs@u.arizona.edu.

The masterful work of Elton John and Tim Rice returns this evening for an encore performance of "Aida" at Centennial Hall at 8 p.m. Never heard of "Aida"? If you were driving your car around 4:30 p.m. yesterday on Euclid Avenue or Park Avenue, the insane traffic came from a successful turnout at the first showing. A tale for all ages, "Aida" shows love, politics and conflict in action - enough to garner four Tony Awards. Tickets are $25, $44, $52 and $62 at the Centennial Hall box office. For more information, contact Centennial Hall at 621-3341 or visit its Web site at http://www.uapresents.arizona.edu.

McKale Center is the UA's athletic mecca, and the UA Gymcats gymnastics squad is ready to climb, bounce and flip all over it tonight at 7:30 for the first time in 2002 during a dual meet against Boise State and Brown universities. To view the acrobatics and intense competition, all you need is $5 if you are an adult, $3 if you are a senior, or an empty wallet if you are in high school or younger. There is no discount for students, staff or faculty. For more information, contact the McKale Ticket Office at 621-CATS (2287) or look for the Gymcats online at www.arizcats.com.
