If you want to be a doctor or you have an Rx fascination, the Physiology Seminar Series brings you "Stress Modulation of Choline Transport by Choroid Plexus," from Alice R. Villalobos, an assistant professor in the department of environmental medicine at the University of Rochester School of Medicine in New York. She presents today from 11 a.m. to noon in the Arizona Health Sciences Center, Room 5403. For more information, contact Eldon Braun at 626-7134, e-mail him at ejbraun@u.arizona.edu or visit the Web site at http://www.physiol.arizona.edu/seminars.

If you aren't stoked by doctors and medicine, maybe a cheap, hot flick will bring you out of the house. The University Activities Board presents the Friday Night Film double feature, including "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels" and "Snatch" (Ooh! Brad Pitt!). The double dip costs just $2.50 and includes popcorn and pizza. The action begins at 7 p.m. in the Park Student Union Turquoise Room. Contact Diana Ziegler at 621-0768 for more information.

If you haven't guessed, Friday night is movie night around campus. The International Arts Society Film Series presents its contribution to Friday evening flicks with "Junk Mail," an amusing comedy/thriller/love story set in Norway. Funding from Chuck Tatum, the dean of the College of Humanities, ensures attendees need not bring a wallet. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. in the Modern Languages auditorium. For more information, contact Charles Scruggs at 621-3527, e-mail him at Scruggs@u.arizona.edu or visit the Web site at http://www.coh.arizona.edu/COH/CALENDAR/filmseries/iasSPRING2002.htm.

THIS WEEKEND

Wrapping up a week of hip-hop and dance around the UA community, Rennie Harris Puremovement performs "Rome and Jewels," a hip-hop ballet inspired by "A West Side Story" and the recent remake of "Romeo and Juliet." Explicit language and profanity may be present, so parents beware. Tickets cost $28, $22 and $16, and the show starts at 8 p.m. at Centennial Hall tomorrow. For more information, contact the Centennial Hall Box Office at 621-3341 or visit the related Web sites: http://uapresents.arizona.edu/0102performance.html or http://www.puremovement.com.

And after the show, don't miss a chance to meet the members of Rennie Harris Puremovement, including Rennie himself. The cast will rap with anyone who wants to show up. Questions and answers are encouraged. The session begins right after the performance of "Rome and Jewels" at about 9:30 p.m. For more information, contact Wade Colwell at 626-4420, or e-mail him at wadec@email.arizona.edu.
