A UA employee reported a license plate Monday, at 888 N. Euclid Ave, reports stated.

He was washing his car over the weekend when he noticed that the plate on his vehicle was only being held by one screw, reports stated.

Upon closer inspection, the man noticed that the plate was going to expire in May. He knew that his plates did not expire until November. After comparing his registration to the plate, he was able to determine that the plate was not his, reports stated.

The employee told police that his plate must have been stolen in the last three weeks because the last time he remembered checking his plate, on Feb. 1, it was correct. UA police ran the plate that was on the man's car, and the Tucson Police Department revealed that it was stolen. Police removed the plate and took it into evidence, reports stated.


A Sony digital camcorder was stolen from an office in the McKale Center, 1721 E. Enke Road, Monday, reports stated.

A UA employee reported that the camera was stolen from an office that had an unsecured door. No one was able to provide a serial number for the stolen camera, reports stated.

Police have no suspects or witnesses.


A student's bicycle was reported stolen on the east side of Coronado Residence Hall, 822 E. Fifth St., Monday, reports stated.

The student said his bike was stolen sometime between the hours of 3 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 21, and 12 p.m., Monday, Feb. 24, reports stated.

The bicycle was secured to a rack with a cable lock, which was also taken, reports stated.

The purple Sea-Ray Beach-Cruiser was valued at $120.


A bicycle was reported stolen on the north side of Gila Residence Hall, 1009 E. North Campus Drive, Monday, reports stated.

A UA student said the bike was stolen sometime between 12 a.m. and 8 a.m. Monday, reports stated.

The bicycle was secured to a rack with a cable lock, which was also taken, reports stated.

The Red Gravity Beach-Cruiser was valued at $110.


A bicycle was reported stolen on the east side of Coconino Residence Hall, 1003 N. Olive Road, Monday, reports stated.

A UA student said the bike was stolen sometime between the hours of 2 p.m., Feb. 20, and 11:30 a.m., Feb. 24, reports stated.

The bicycle was secured to a rack with a cable lock, which was also taken, reports stated.

The purple Huffy mountain bike was valued at $100.


A bicycle was reported stolen on the south side of the ECE building, 1230 E. Speedway Blvd., Monday, reports stated.

A UA student said the bike was stolen sometime between 12:30 p.m. and 1:15 p.m., reports stated.

The bicycle was secured to a rack by a chain, which was also taken, reports stated.

The blue suspension mountain bike was valued at $200.


Library employees found an abandoned bag in the Main Library, 1510 E. University Blvd., Monday, reports stated.

The bag contained a Campus Health immunization card, CatCard, CostCo card, Social Security card, a Texas Instruments calculator, a pair of glasses with a case and a gold Armitron watch, reports stated.

Attempts by UA police to find the owner were unsuccessful.
