Theft from auto

A student's car was broken into Tuesday at a campus parking lot, police reports stated.

She parked her car at 575 N. Campbell Ave at 8:30 a.m. When she returned at 7:45 p.m., she noticed that her driver- side window, window frame, key hole and center console had all been badly damaged.

She also noticed that her stereo faceplate was gone.

Officers looked at the car and saw pry marks next to the stereo and the driver-side window. The stereo was not missing, but was damaged.

UAPD officers told the student to contact her insurance company.

There are no suspects or witnesses.

Theft from auto

A student's car was broken into Tuesday while on campus, reports stated.

The woman told police that she locked her car at 11:30 a.m. at a parking lot on 445 N. Warren Ave. When she returned at 2 p.m. She noticed that her stereo was missing and that the driver-side window and dashboard were damaged with pry marks.

Police believe that the damage done to the vehicle was caused by a flat instrument.

Police were unable to take any fingerprints because the surface was rough.

There are no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.

Bicycle stolen

A student's bike was stolen from a campus residence hall Tuesday, reports stated.

The student told police that he locked his bike tire to the frame outside of Coronado Residence Hall, 822 E. Fifth St. When he returned the next morning the $475 bike and lock were gone.

He told police that when he left the bike he noticed some people standing nearby, but he was unable to give police any descriptions, reports stated.

Suspicious mail

An envelope covered with Nazi symbols, that had no return address was turned over to campus police Tuesday, reports stated.

An Arizona Press employee told police that she received the suspicious letter in the mail Tuesday at the AZ Press office, 355 S. Euclid Ave. When she saw the Nazi symbol, lack of a return address and unknown handwriting, she called police.

Officers took the unopened letter, sealed it in a plastic bag, disinfected it and then deposited it in a container at UAPD, reports stated.

Employees said that nobody had requested a letter and asked that it be destroyed, reports stated.

Camera missing

A digital camera was stolen from a campus building Aug. 29, reports stated.

A human resources employee told officers that she left the $642 camera in a room at the Main Gate building, 888 N. Euclid Ave., at 2 p.m. When she returned to the room 15 minutes later, the camera was gone.

There are no suspects or witnesses.

Found wallet

A student's wallet was found inside a campus building Tuesday night, reports stated.

The bi-fold wallet contained a CatCard, foreign and domestic currency, a credit card and an Oregon drivers license.

The wallet was found at the Economics building, 1110 E. North Campus Dr., reports stated.

Police were not immediately able to contact the owner.

Bicycle stolen

A student's bike was stolen from a campus building over the Labor Day weekend, reports stated.

The student told police that he locked the $180 bike Friday through the frame and wheel to a rack near the Maloney Theatre, 1025 N. Olive Ave. When he returned Tuesday morning, his bike was gone.

There are no suspects and no witnesses.

Theft from auto

A student's car was broken into at a campus parking lot Aug. 29, reports stated.

She locked her car at 6 a.m. inside a fence-enclosed lot at 220 W. Sixth St. When she returned at 4 p.m. she noticed a window was shattered. There were no items missing from the car and no other damage done, reports stated.

There are no suspects and no witnesses.
