After the Wildcats got a little good news last week, when found out they were in a second place tie in the conference, they received some bad news yesterday.
Freshman guard Katrina Lindner tore her ACL in her left knee and will miss the remainder of the season. The injury was suffered in practice on Feb. 7.
Lindner suffered a similar injury last season during the Red/Blue Scrimmage. She redshirted last year because she tore the ACL in her right knee.
The Australian native is averaging 0.8 points, 0.4 rebounds and five minutes of action in her 10 games off the bench this season. Surgery on her knee is scheduled for early March, followed by rehab.
This injury comes at a bad time for the No. 24 Wildcats. They make their final road trip of the conference season when they travel to Los Angeles this weekend to take on UCLA and USC.
