A man followed a student and then verbally harassed her around 3 p.m. Thursday at East Fourth Street and North Cherry Avenue, reports stated.

The student left her class at the Center for Creative Photography, 1030 N. Olive Drive, and was on her way to meet a friend at Apache Residence Hall. While walking between the Modern Languages building and the Administration building, she noticed a man walking beside her, reports stated.

The man followed her until she decided to turn around and confront him. The man looked at her body up and down and said, "Hey baby, I really want to stick it up your ass," reports stated.

The student put her left hand up, and said, "No, don't talk to me like that," and quickly walked away from the man, reports stated.

The student thought she saw the man walk north on North Cherry Avenue, reports stated.

The student said she could possibly identify the man if she saw him again and would press charges if he was caught, reports stated.

A man started a fight at 1:02 a.m. Sunday with the door staff of Dirtbag's, 1800 E. Speedway Blvd., reports stated.

After the man was asked to leave, he pushed an employee in the chest, reports stated.

When police arrived, the staff had pinned the man on his back and told the officer the man had assaulted them, reports stated.

The man tried to get up but the officer told the man to stay on the ground and roll over onto his stomach, reports stated.

The man continued to try to get up and the officer took his Taser gun from its holster, turned it on and pointed the red laser at the man's chest. The officer told the man to turn over and put his hands behind his back. The man immediately complied, and the officer replaced the Taser, which was never fired, reports stated.

Neither the man nor the employees were injured. The employees did not want to press charges, and the man was released, reports stated.

Three students were arrested after intentionally setting off the fire alarm at 10:17 p.m. in Coronado Residence Hall, 822 E. First St., reports stated.

The student who pulled the alarm said he did it because two of the desk assistants told him to do it for a fire drill, reports stated.

Afterwards, the assistants said they were just joking, reports stated.

A witness who was present when the assistants told the student to pull it said he thought they were serious also, reports stated.

The assistants apologized, and the three men were cited and released for false reporting.

The crest and letters on the basketball court of the Kappa Sigma fraternity house, 1423 E. First St., were found painted over with off-white paint Thursday, reports stated.

The member who reported the incident to police did not know when the incident occurred, but one member of the house remembered smelling wet paint on Thursday at 3:15 p.m. and did not check it out, reports stated.

Beneath the off-white paint were the Sigma Kappa sorority letters painted in red and gold spray paint, reports stated.

The member denied having any previous problems with other fraternities and doubted that a sorority member repainted the letters, reports stated.

The member said he would have to talk to other members of the house before they decided whether to press charges.

An Xbox video game system with a Playstation 2 controller and 17 DVDs were stolen sometime Monday morning from an apartment in Skyview Apartments, 1050 E. Eighth St., reports stated.

The items were in the common room of a fourth floor apartment that was left unlocked between 3 a.m. and 8 a.m. The residents were in the apartment but were asleep, reports stated.

Nothing was disturbed in nearby bedrooms, and there were no signs of forced entry. Only the three men and the desk assistant had keys to the room, reports stated.

The men said they would decide if they wanted to press charges when a suspect was found.

Police have no suspects or witnesses.

A $60 personal CD player, car kit, computer adapter and $450 worth of CDs were stolen from a student's car while it was parked at the Beta Theta Pi fraternity house, 645 E. University Blvd., Saturday, reports stated.

The car's owner said he parked the car at 1 a.m. on the west side of the house. When he returned at 3 p.m., the rear window on the passenger side of the vehicle was broken, and the items were missing, reports stated.

A window on the east side of the house was also broken after someone threw a rock through it between 4 a.m. and 6 a.m. the same day.

Police have no suspects or witnesses.
