Be at home in the world
BALI - You are about to join the company of some great UA alumni who have surfed off the coast of Africa, met the prime minister of Australia, hiked the mountains of South America and endured the cold of Siberia.
Now it's your turn to be at home in the world.
So what are your travel plans?
For the past five weeks I've been traveling through China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and Indonesia.
I've done the hotel bit, especially for the few days my stomach turned on me in Beijing.

It's easier than it looks
I have a friend who is convinced that fast food will bring about the downfall of our civilization.
Basically he thinks that we're not responsible enough use the time that we would have spent preparing meals wisely.
I think he's wrong, though not about the irresponsibility part, mind you.
Let's face it, people are idiots.
But he is wrong about the destruction of our society part.
That honor will fall not to the super-sized value meal, but rather to the twin scourges of Internet: instant messaging and Web logs.

Dr. Strangediet: How I learned to stop worrying and love fatty food
Everyone's heard the crunching noise that creeps through the hall in the middle of the night and seen the remnants of Whoppers and Doritos clinging to the sheets. Come August, somewhere in the dorms someone will experience that first bite, which will eventually lead him or her to horror. It's the horror of the Freshman 15. And while some girls may shriek in terror, running to the bathroom to vomit or stocking up on their Diet Pepsi, let's wholeheartedly embrace that newfound cushioning.
