A UAPD officer's identification card and uniform badge were stolen from his personal vehicle on Sept. 15, reports stated.

The officer parked his car at 6:53 p.m. in a parking lot at 1400 W. Speedway Blvd. When he came back to his car three hours later, he saw that the driver-side door lock was punched in and the items had been stolen, reports stated.

The UAPD identification card is laminated and the uniform badge is made of brass. Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.


A student called UAPD after his leather day-planner was stolen from the UA Main Library, 1510 E. University Blvd., on Wednesday, reports stated.

The student was studying on the fourth floor and left his books and day-planner unattended when he went to the restroom. When he returned, the day-planner was missing, reports stated.

The student called the police after multiple trips to Lost and Found came up empty. Police have no witnesses or suspects, reports stated.


A UA student called police after his sports bag was stolen at the Rincon Track, 501 S. Plummer Ave., on Wednesday, reports stated.

The student's football, soccer cleats and CatCard were stolen after he left the bag unattended for 20 minutes, reports stated.

Police have no witnesses or suspects, reports stated.


A student found a 50-inch scratch in her car on Wednesday, which police believe was left intentionally, reports stated.

The student parked her blue 2003 BMW behind the Delta Delta Delta sorority house, 1541 E. Second St., on Sept. 14 at 5 p.m. When she returned at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, she noticed a long scratch down the passenger side door and fender, reports stated.

Police said the car was "keyed," but have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.


A student called police after his bike was stolen from a rack at the Education building, 1430 E. Second St., on Tuesday, reports stated.

The student locked his silver Pro Flex 856 mountain bike to the west-side rack at 9:30 a.m. and when he returned at 2 p.m., it was gone, reports stated.

The bike is valued at $1,500. The lock was also taken, reports stated.

Police have no witnesses or suspects.


A cash box with $100 was stolen from the ROTC building on Sept. 15, reports stated.

The money and cash box were stored in a room used by the Naval ROTC in South Hall, 1042 E. South Campus Drive. An employee said he locked the cash box and money in the room at 10 p.m. the night before, and when he returned at 7:15 a.m. the next day, both were missing, reports stated.

Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.


A student called police after he found his mountain bike and cable lock missing from the Communication building, 1103 E. University Blvd., on Sept. 15, reports stated.

The student locked the bike to a rack on the north side of the building at 10:30 a.m. When he returned two hours later, it was missing, reports stated.

The bike, a Schwinn Sol Vision mountain bike was valued at $240. Police have no suspects or witnesses.


A DVD player was stolen from the UA Main Library, 1510 E. University Blvd, on Sept. 15, reports stated.

The thin, silver DVD player is property of the library and is used by students, faculty and staff. A library employee noticed that it was missing at 11:10 p.m., reports stated.

The DVD player was taken from Room B211. There was no evidence of forced entry.

Police have no witnesses or suspects, and advised the library employee who called to report the incident to review the check out process for customers, reports stated.
