A student called police Saturday after he realized that electronic equipment was stolen from his backpack the week before, reports stated.

The student's Sony digital camera, Ipac PDA and Sony memory stick were stolen from his backpack when he left it in a room in the Economics building, 1110 E. North Campus Drive, on Sept. 25, reports stated.

The student did not realize the items were missing until Sunday when he went through his backpack. The camera was worth $486, the PDA $650 and the memory stick $130, reports stated.

Police have no witnesses of suspects, reports stated.


A bicycle was stolen from the Harvill building, 1103 E. Second St., on Saturday after a student parked it there for a half hour, reports stated.

The student locked the bike to a rack with two cable locks. When he returned, the locks and the bike were gone, reports stated.

The 18-speed Roadmaster mountain bike is valued at $60. Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.


Police responded to an unruly driver in a UA parking lot on 355 N. Martin Ave., on Saturday, reports stated.

The parking attendant called police at 5:35 p.m. after the driver began yelling and cussing at him because he would not allow the man to park his car without a permit, reports stated.

After the parking attendant called UAPD, the man sat in his car and waited for police. The man admitted to the police that he had been drinking earlier in the day, reports stated.

The parking attendant did not want to file a report against the man, saying he just wanted the man to leave.

The driver called a taxi and left the lot, reports stated.


Two juveniles were caught throwing ice onto the

football field during Saturday's football game, reports stated.

An employee of Arizona Stadium, 540 N. Vine Ave., saw the boys throwing ice from the east side of the stadium. The employee asked a UAPD officer for help, reports stated.

The officer found the parent of one of the boys and released the boys into his company. The boys were warned, but no legal action was taken, reports stated.


Eight plastic chairs were stolen from a motor home on Saturday while it was parked on the corner of East University Boulevard and North Campbell Avenue, reports stated.

The owner of the motor home called police at 11 p.m. after he returned to his vehicle and noticed the white Rubbermaid chairs were missing, reports stated.

The man estimated the value of the chairs at $400. Police have no witnesses or suspects, reports stated.


A woman reported that her car was burglarized on Friday after she parked it in a UA lot on the corner of East Fort Lowell Road and North Mountain Avenue, reports stated.

The woman parked her car a 10:30 a.m., and when she returned at 8:40 p.m., she saw that the front passenger-side window of her Volkswagen was smashed in, reports stated.

The woman saw that her portable CD player and case of 50 CDs had been stolen. The woman estimated that the value of the items was $175, reports stated.

Police have no suspects or witnesses.


A UAPD officer saw a student, who was holding a beer, run behind a bushy tree in front of the Delta Gamma sorority house, 1448 E. First St., Friday, reports stated.

The officer also saw the student drop the beer behind the tree when he approached. The officer walked around the tree and asked the student to come out, reports stated.

When the student walked into the open, he stumbled. The officer also noticed the student had bloodshot eyes, reports stated.

The student admitted that he "only had a little to drink."

The officer cited the student with minor in possession, reports stated.


An officer noticed that someone had burglarized a truck parked at the corner of East Mabel Street and North Martin Avenue on Friday, reports stated.

After looking up the license plate number, the officer notified the owner of the vehicle that somebody had broken the driver-side window of her white, Nissan pick-up truck.

The officer also found a "fist-sized" rock on the driver-side floor, which he thinks was used to break the window, reports stated.

After looking in the car, the woman saw that four cassette tapes had been stolen from her truck.
