Softball: A legend in the making?
Hollowell rewrites record books after just one year at UA
For one tense moment Friday, the Arizona softball team's season was up in the air because Alicia Hollowell was down on the ground.
A line drive off the bat of a Mississippi player hit the sophomore phenom on the knee, sending her falling to the dirt.
Luckily for the Wildcats, she picked herself - and their title hopes - back up and struck out 13 of the next 15 batters.

Women's Hoops: Wildcats settle on starter in freshman Hobson
Guards Dee-Dee Wheeler, Aimee Grzyb and Natalie Jones, along with center Shawntinice Polk, have started all 23 games for the Wildcat women's hoops team this season. But Arizona has experimented with four different starters at the power forward position.
Head coach Joan Bonvicini sounds like she's finally settled on a permanent starter in freshman Shannon Hobson, who's started Arizona's last five games.

Cat Tracking: UA football's all-time wins leader, Dick Tomey
Wildcat: Congrats on your recent hiring as an assistant head coach at Texas. Are you excited to return to the college ranks?
Tomey: I am. I'm really excited. Of course, I'm excited to be with (UT head coach) Mack Brown and (UT assistant head coach) Duane Akina - two people I think a lot of - and obviously I feel like it's a great opportunity. I enjoyed professional football, but I really probably feel like I just spent so long in college football that it's more of a fit for me. I love being around a campus, and I love the whole dynamic, whether it be going to a basketball game or a softball game or spending time with the players.

The Hot Corner: 68 hours of UA athletics
The idea struck me Thursday, when I found my press pass while rummaging through the sports desk. Six different UA sports teams were in action at home last weekend, so why not go to one of each event? One man, one pass, six events, roughly 68 hours. In my free time, I watched most of both men's basketball losses on TV.
