A student was referred to the Dean of Students Office Friday for underage drinking while she was semiconscious at the Chi Omega sorority house, 1420 E. First St., reports stated.
Police responded at 9:51 p.m. after a woman in the house called police and said the student drank a large amount of alcohol, reports stated.
Police found the woman lying in a large chair with bubbles of drool coming out of her mouth, reports stated.
One of the student's housemates said the woman was drinking at an off-campus party but did not know how much she had, reports stated.
Police asked the student how much alcohol she consumed and the student repeatedly said "no vodka," reports stated.
Police called to arrange transportation to take the student to a medical facility, reports stated.
The woman was not cited but was referred to the Dean of Students.
Police responded to noise complaints Friday morning in Arizona-Sonora Residence Hall, 1040 E. Fourth St., and found about 15 students playing on a homemade "slip 'n' slide," reports stated.
Police followed the noise in the hall at 3 a.m. and found large plastic bags lining a hallway covered in soapsuds and several wet students.
Two students told police they would take responsibility for the "slip 'n' slide" and cleaned up the area, reports stated.
Police found a pile of clothes and keys near the "slip 'n' slide" and took them to the station for safekeeping, reports stated.
The students were not cited and an employee said the incident would be dealt with internally.
An unknown man stole a student's backpack from him Friday after he left the UA Main Library, 1510 E. University Blvd., reports stated.
A man approached the student at 3:45 p.m. and asked the student if he could spare a couple of dollars, reports stated.
The student said, "No," but then changed his mind and reached into his backpack, reports stated.
The student told police the man said, "I'll just take the whole bag," and the student replied, "No you won't," reports stated.
The man pulled his shirt to the side, and the student caught a glimpse of a wooden, dark object he believed was a knife, reports stated.
The student said he just handed over the backpack and the man said, "God bless you," reports stated.
The student said the backpack contained a $3,200 laptop computer, a hard drive, credit cards and $110 in cash, reports stated.
Police advised the man to cancel his credit cards so he would not be a victim of identity theft, reports stated.
Police have no suspects or witnesses.
Police found a damaged parking sign lying on the street Thursday in a Zone 1 parking lot, 1231 N. Cherry Ave., reports stated.
Police were in the area doing a routine security check and found a "Lot Specific" sign bent and broken from its foundation, reports stated.
Police contacted Parking and Transportation Services and informed a representative of the damaged sign, reports stated.
Police have no suspects or witnesses.
A student's CatCard was stolen Thursday while he was playing racquetball at the Student Recreation Center, 1400 E. Sixth St., reports stated.
The man said he left the card, shoes and other personal items on the ground near where he was playing at 7:11 p.m., reports stated.
The man finished playing racquetball at 8 p.m. and discovered his CatCard was missing, but his other items were still where he left them, reports stated.
Police have no suspects or witnesses.
Someone cut a fence sometime before Wednesday at the Babcock Inn Residence Hall, 1717 E. Speedway Blvd., reports stated.
An employee contacted police about the cut fence and said a student's bike was stolen but would not disclose the student's name, reports stated.
The fence was cut from the bottom up and someone from Residence Life Maintenance came to put up a temporary barrier so other bikes would not be stolen, reports stated.
Police have no suspects or witnesses.
