Police responded to the Marley building, 1145 E. Fourth St., in reference to a fire in a third-floor room Sunday evening, reports stated.

A student told police a fire was burning in a stove in the room, reports stated.

The student showed police the stove that had been burning. She said the flames and smoke were coming from the oven so she turned it off, reports stated.

The student told police she was unaware of who turned the stove on, reports stated.

The Tucson Fire Department responded and checked the stove. TFD said the machine needed to be put out of service, reports stated.

Neither the smoke nor the flames caused any damage, reports stated.

The floor manager removed a rack containing test tubes, which he said did not belong in that particular oven, reports stated.

It is unknown who placed the tubes in the oven, reports stated.

A student's car was vandalized while parked in the Tyndall Avenue parking Garage, 880 E. Fourth St., sometime between Saturday and Sunday, reports stated.

The student told police she parked and secured her car at 6 p.m. Saturday, reports stated.

She said she walked to her car at 9 a.m. Sunday and saw a scratch on the driver's side door and another on the driver's side front fender. The door scratch appeared to have been done with a sharp object or key, reports stated.

The student told police she does not suspect anyone in particular, reports stated.

Police have no suspects or witnesses.

A student was arrested for minor in possession while in a Zone 1 lot, 1425 E. Sixth St., Sunday morning, reports stated.

Police responded to the lot after someone reported a man was passed out in a car, reports stated.

Police located the car with its lights on and contacted the student in the passenger seat, reports stated.

There was vomit on the inside and outside of the passenger door and on the floor of the car, reports stated.

When asked, the student told police he drank one beer, reports stated.

Police cited and released the student to his home.

A student was a possible victim of identity theft, reports stated.

The student told police Monday she applied for a credit card with Wells Fargo and was denied, reports stated.

She said she then checked her credit report online and noticed some discrepancies, reports stated.

She told police she believes a person is using her name and Social Security number. Two addresses that do not apply to the student were included in the credit report, reports stated.

Police advised the student to contact the companies with the discrepancies and verify if the debt belongs to her, reports stated.

A student was investigated for suspicious activity at San Pedro Residence Hall, 601 N. Highland Ave., Monday afternoon, reports stated.

An employee told police a resident in a room on the first floor sent a suspicious e-mail via the Inter-hall Computer Link, reports stated.

The employee said the e-mail stated, "Vicodin for sale," reports stated.

Police made contact with the students in the room who allowed police to enter, reports stated.

When asked, the student said she sent the e-mail as a joke, reports stated.

The student did have approximately 15 tablets of Vicodin that were prescribed to her for a cold, reports stated.

She said she was sorry and did not think about what she was doing when she sent the e-mail, reports stated.

Police asked the student if anyone had come by to inquire about the pills and she said, "No," reports stated.

The student told police she had stopped taking the Vicodin because it was not working, reports stated.

Police asked her if she would consent to flushing the pills down the toilet and she agreed, reports stated.

The student told police there were no other prescription medications in the room and again said the e-mail was a joke, reports stated.

A student's bicycle was stolen out of the courtyard of Manzanita-Mohave Residence Hall, 1010 N. Park Ave., sometime over the weekend, reports stated.

The student told police his bicycle had been recovered on Saturday and he locked it up in the courtyard with a cable lock at 5 p.m., reports stated.

When he returned to the bike rack at 11:30 a.m. Monday, his bike was gone, reports stated.

He said the cable lock was still there, but it had been cut, reports stated.

The student told police he does not know the serial number but he etched his Social Security number underneath the top bar near the seat, reports stated.

Police have no suspects or witnesses.
