A woman called police after two men allegedly harassed her in the Main Library, 1510 E. University Blvd., around 6 p.m. Sunday, and she asked police to transport her back to her residence hall, reports stated.

The woman told police the men sat down next to her at a computer and started asking her questions, reports stated.

She asked the men to leave her alone, but they persisted and the woman left the area to call police, reports stated.

The woman told police she felt scared when they wouldn't leave her alone, reports stated.

She told police she didn't want to press charges. She just wanted a ride back to Gila Residence Hall, reports stated.

The woman said she also took a piece of paper she had originally given the men upon their request, because she thought they were writing down her information, reports stated.

Police had stopped a man earlier that day who also matched the description given by the woman, reports stated.

A man was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia at 12:30 a.m. Saturday after police saw him dumping items from a white Chevy pickup into a dumpster behind the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity house, 1449 N. Cherry Ave., reports stated.

When police asked the man what he was doing he said he was aware it was illegal to dump items into a dumpster without permission from the owner, and he said he did not have permission, reports stated.

Police noticed tree and yard clippings in the man's truck, on the ground between the truck and the dumpster and in the dumpster, reports stated.

Police asked the man if he had any illegal drugs on him or in the truck and he said no. Police searched the man and found nothing but upon searching the truck found an Altoids tin with .5 grams of marijuana inside, reports stated.

No other contraband was located and the man told police he got the marijuana from "a guy" and he was taking it to a friend and he had not smoked it, reports stated.

The vehicle's registration expired in April and the man told police he did not have insurance, reports stated.

Police told the man not to drive the vehicle again until it was properly registered and insured, reports stated.

The man was cited and released.

Police gave their business card and case number to members of the fraternity who said they would relay the information to the chapter president, reports stated.

Police told them to contact the University of Arizona Police Department again if they wished to press charges, reports stated.

Police photographed the man's truck, the dumpster, the ground in between and the tin and placed the photos into property and evidence for reference, reports stated.

Police were advised of a large amount of water flowing from a fenced area onto East Sixth Street at North Martin Avenue at 9:45 a.m. Saturday, reports stated.

The water was gushing into the street and creating a safety hazard for vehicular traffic, reports stated.

UAPD dispatch alerted the officer that Facilities Management was aware of the water and they were attempting to flush a water well of possible toxins, reports stated.

Facilities Management was advised of the liability of dispensing such a flow of water without warning traffic, reports stated.

Police forwarded a copy of the report to Risk Management, reports stated.

A 90-year-old woman was transported to University Medical Center on July 26 at 7:04 p.m. after she had fallen in her home sometime the evening before and couldn't call for help, reports stated.

Police received a call from a woman who lives in San Diego, asking for police to check on her elderly aunt who lives alone, reports stated.

The woman said she calls her aunt everyday to check up on her and her aunt had not answered the phone, reports stated.

Police arrived at the woman's home and found her lying on the floor next to her bed, and she said she had been lying there for several hours, unable to seek help, reports stated.

Tucson Fire Department was contacted and paramedics transported the aunt to UMC with a possible broken hip, reports stated.

Police secured the woman's house and gave the keys to a nurse at UMC, reports stated.

The woman said her aunt refuses any kind of assistance and has no other family in Tucson. Police gave the woman phone numbers to the Pima County Council on Aging to inquire about any available services, reports stated.
