A student was diverted to the Dean of Students Office for underage drinking early Sunday morning at Cochise Residence Hall, 1018 E. South Campus Drive, after admitting to his resident assistant he had had eight shots of alcohol, reports stated.

When police arrived around 1 a.m. a resident assistant said the student told him he had been drinking. The student then said he was sick of the pressure to drink and wanted to stop.

Police noticed the student had red, watery eyes and smelled of alcohol, reports stated.

The student would not tell police what room he was drinking in or who he was drinking with.

The RA agreed to monitor the student for the night to make sure he was OK, reports stated.

A student asked police if they smoked "the chronic" early Sunday morning after he, a UA student, and an Arizona State University student were cited for possessing drugs and paraphernalia at Posada San Pedro Residence Hall, 601 N. Highland Ave., reports stated.

When police arrived about 2 a.m. they smelled marijuana coming from the student's room. When one of the students answered the door police told him why they were there. The student said there was no marijuana in the room.

Police asked about the marijuana again. The other student and the ASU student then told police the marijuana was behind the bed.

Police found a glass pipe with green leafy substance and residue in it.

Police asked if there was any more marijuana in the room, and one of the students said he had some in his left pocket. The student removed a small baggie containing a green leafy substance.

The student said he didn't know how the marijuana had gotten into his pocket, reports stated.

The students would not tell police where they got the marijuana because they were afraid of "getting their asses kicked," reports stated.

One of the students asked police if they had smoked "the chronic" before and police said no. Police asked the student if "the chronic" was in the plastic baggie, reports stated.

The ASU student said no and said real "chronic" isn't sold in Arizona.

The students were released and the pipe and the baggie were placed into evidence, reports stated.

A student was cited for underage drinking early Sunday morning at Coronado Residence Hall, 822 E. Fifth St. after almost falling unconscious, reports stated.

When police arrived around 3 a.m. medics were assisting the student.

The student's friends said the student had been drinking with his older brother at a fraternity party, but they did not know which one, reports stated.

The student said he had between 10 to 12 drinks. He said he was drinking beer and taking shots to celebrate his 19th birthday.

The student told police that he wanted to go to the hospital because he didn't want to feel "fucked up" anymore, reports stated.

The student was transported to University Medical Center, reports stated.

Two students were cited for underage drinking early Saturday morning after one of the students urinated in the stairwell at Coronado Residence Hall, 822 E. Fifth St., reports stated.

When police arrived around midnight a UA employee told them he heard running water in the stairwell and walked down there to see a student urinating. The employee said he tried to talk to the student, but the student walked away.

Police saw the student jump into a car and followed him, reports stated.

Police noticed the student had slurred speech and red eyes. The student admitted to drinking three beers at the Fiji house, reports stated.

While the student was leaning on a cop car and talking on his cell phone, the employee identified the student as the person he had seen urine.

The student said he had urinated outside while waiting for a friend to pick him up.

Police noticed one of the student's friends smelled like alcohol. Police asked the friend if he had been drinking and he said no, reports stated.

When police asked the friend again, he said he had, but said he heard people could get away if they denied drinking.

The driver of the car did not appear to have been drinking.

Both students were released to the driver.

The employee showed police a security video. In the video it appeared that the student had urinated in the stairwell, reports stated.

The employee said he did not want the student who had urinated to return to Coronado.

The student was informed that if he returned to Coronado he would be cited for trespassing, reports stated.
