BASKETBALL'S BAGGA: Walk-on learning at courtside
David Bagga, a 6-foot-4, 175-pound athlete from Foothill Ranch, Calif., is a freshman walk-on this season for the Arizona men's basketball team.
Bagga, who is expected to contribute at the shooting guard and small forward positions, attended Mater Dei High School, which went 31-4 his senior season.
He will share his thoughts and experiences with the team in a biweekly feature for the Arizona Daily Wildcat.

Football Notes: 'D' hopes to limit Ducks' spread 'O'
Cats' secondary brings toughness against Oregon
Through its first seven games, the Oregon offense has picked apart opposing defenses on its way to averaging 340 yards a game, good for fifth in the nation.
Arizona football head coach Mike Stoops might have had that image in mind when he described the performance of the Wildcats' secondary this season.
"The secondary has really been the glue behind everything we've done," Stoops said.

Commentary: Sophomore outfielder pulling for dad's Sox
As the Chicago White Sox prepare for their first World Series appearance since the Eisenhower administration, fans on the Windy City's South Side hope to throw away decades of frustration with a championship.
This includes sophomore outfielder Kenny Williams Jr. of the Arizona baseball team, who has White Sox baseball in his blood.
That's because he's the son of Kenny Williams, Chicago's general manager and senior vice president.

Non-scholarship volleyballers work for good of team
The more, the merrier.
That could be the motto for the No. 8 Arizona volleyball team, which comprises a program-high 19 players.
Five newcomers to the squad are also walk-ons - freshman libero Brittany Leonard, sophomore transfer Brittany Esser, junior transfer Kim Nash, and Canyon del Oro High School graduates Audrey Bockerstette and Marti Larriva.
