A $2,500 copper sculpture was damaged in front of La Paz Residence Hall, 602 N. Highland Ave., sometime between Oct. 27 and Oct. 31, reports stated.

A UA employee said the sculpture was intact around 5 p.m. on Oct. 27 and said someone noticed the damage around 11 a.m. on Oct. 31.

The top and bottom of the sculpture had been bent, and some of the copper had been ripped.

Four copper letters had been taken from beneath the sculpture.

Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.

An $850 digital camera and memory card were reported missing Tuesday night from the César E. Chávez building, 1110 E. James E. Rogers Way, reports stated.

An employee of the Chicano/Hispanic Student Affairs and Resource Center said the center had been having a student-faculty reception.

The employee said she had left the digital camera on a table in the hallway around 5 p.m.

The employee said when she came back half an hour later, the camera was gone.

The employee said she had asked several students at the reception if they had seen the camera, but no one had.

A student’s car was damaged on Wednesday while it was parked in the Cherry Avenue Parking Garage, 1641 E. Enke Drive, reports stated.

The student said she parked her car around 11 a.m. and said she returned around 9:30 p.m. to find that the driver’s side keyhole on her car was damaged.

Someone had also taped an “H” with masking tape on the driver’s side window.

The lock on the driver’s side door still worked.

Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.

The rear bumper on a student’s car was damaged sometime between Oct. 30 and Oct. 31 while it was parked in the Cherry Avenue Parking Garage, 1641 E. Enke Drive, reports stated.

The student said he parked his car around 4:30 p.m. on Oct. 30 and said he returned around 12:30 a.m. on Oct. 31 to find the damage.

There was a white paint transfer on the bumper.

The student said he had parked next to a small white foreign car, but said he could not remember any more details about the car.

A UA employee’s $450 garage parking permit was reported stolen from his red convertible Oct. 28 while the convertible was parked in Second Street Parking Garage, 1340 E. Second St., reports stated.

The employee said he had parked his car around 9 a.m. and left the top down. The employee said he returned around 5 p.m. to find the permit gone.

There was nothing else stolen from the car and there was no damage.

The front windshield of a car owned by the UA foundation was broken on the morning of Oct. 28 while it was parked at the “Swede” Johnson building, 1111 N. Cherry Ave., reports stated.

There were several dents on the front hood of the car, and it looked like someone had stood on the hood.

Police found a trashcan encased in decorative rock knocked over outside McClelland Hall, 1030 E. Helen St., sometime between Oct. 29 and Oct. 30, breaking the decorative rock, reports stated.

Police noticed the knocked over trashcan while on patrol.

The decorative rock casing had broken into several pieces, which were lying on the sidewalk.

Police moved the broken pieces out of the way and informed custodial staff about the damage.
