Crowning a champion
Induction honors 1997 Final Four star Simon
It would be hard to find any player who has meant as much as to the Arizona basketball program as Miles Simon, and for his achievements and accomplishments, the 1997 Final Four Most Outstanding Player was inducted into the University of Arizona Sports Hall of Fame on Friday.
As he stood on the field at halftime of Arizona's Homecoming football game against UCLA the next night, Simon's name was called along with the names of seven other athletes and the 1997 women's swimming 200-yard freestyle relay team.

Football Notes: Cats control trenches in battle against Bruins
Offensive, defensive lines anchor standout win
Since the day he arrived in Tucson, Arizona football head coach Mike Stoops has emphasized the importance of quality line play.

Southern work ethic, positive disposition keep sophomore successful, stress-free

With a decent amount of success already this season, he has plenty of reasons to believe good things are still to come.

From the booth: Bruin beatdown wasn't an upset - just ask the Cats
Surprised by the Wildcats' 38-point win over UCLA on Saturday? They weren't.
"It's not an upset," insisted senior safety Darrell Brooks after the game, "because we knew we were going to do it all along."
"You guys really thought this was coming?" asked one of the half-dozen reporters surrounding Brooks.
"Yeah, we knew it all week, we knew it," he said. "You can ask anybody in that locker room right there - you guys (the media) were the ones that didn't believe in us."
