A man was booked into Pima County Jail the morning of Jan. 10 after police pulled him over for speeding near East Eighth Street and North Euclid Avenue, reports stated.

Police noticed the man around 9:45 a.m. The man was going 43 mph in a 30 mph zone.

Police did a records check on the man and discovered he had two warrants out for his arrest.

The man was arrested and the man's vehicle was secured and left at the scene, reports stated.


A student's $400 parking permit was stolen sometime between Dec. 16 and Jan. 3 from his car while it was parked in Tyndall Avenue Parking Garage, 880 E. Fourth St., reports stated.

The student said he parked his car on the second floor of the garage around 8 a.m. on Dec. 16. The student said he came back around 11 a.m. on Jan. 3 to find the permit gone.

The student said the driver's side window on his car was broken and would not stay in the up position.

The student said he had locked his car and rolled the windows up, but said the driver's side window slides down over time.

The student said when he found his car the window was halfway down.

Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.


A student's $500 black bike was stolen sometime between Dec. 16 and Jan. 10 while it was at Yavapai Residence Hall, 1222 E. South Campus Drive, reports stated.

The student told police she locked her bike to the bike rack around 3 p.m. on Dec. 16. The student said she noticed her bike was missing around 1 p.m. on Jan. 10.

Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.


A man struck a UA employee's car Jan. 9 while it was parked at Highland Avenue Parking Garage, 1240 N. Highland Ave., reports stated.

The employee called police around 12:30 p.m. and said there was damage to her car. The man who struck the employee's car had left a note with all of his information on it.

The rear driver's side brake light on the employee's car was broken. The fender was also cracked and there were scratches and dents on the rear corner of the car.

Police called the man who had hit the car.

The man and the employee decided to handle the incident civilly, reports stated.


A man's Saturn and a UA employee's Nissan were found damaged the night of Jan. 6 while they were parked in a Zone 1 lot, reports stated.

Police noticed the cars around midnight. There was damage to the Saturn's front passenger door and the dome light was on.

The Nissan's driver-side window was broken and there was glass in the parking lot.

The trunk of the Nissan was also open.

Police attempted to contact the man and the employee but were unable to.

Police removed a gym bag, CD player and parking permit from the Nissan for safekeeping. Notes were left on both cars.

The employee later called police and said a CD case, miscellaneous tools and jumper cables were missing from his Nissan.

The man was given back the CD player, gym bag and parking permit.

Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.


A man's vehicle was impounded the night of Jan. 7 after he was pulled over for speeding on North Swan Avenue and East 22nd Street, reports stated.

Police pulled the man over around 8 p.m. and the man said his license was suspended.

A records check on the man showed the man had been warned several times for driving on a suspended license.

The man was cited and Tucson Police Department detained the man for further questioning, reports stated.


A student's silver mountain bike was stolen Jan. 8 while it was at Coronado Residence Hall, 822 E. Fifth St., reports stated.

The student told police she locked her bike to the bike rack around 2:30 p.m. and said she came back three hours later to find the bike gone.

Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.
