photo Facebook not a grown-up playground

"So, ladies, I saw that there are some pretty interesting photos of you all on that Facebook Web site." These words - spoken not by a friend or fellow student, but by my landlord - ushered in a wave of dread. Panic-stricken, I attempted to recall every note on my profile's wall and every picture I had posted from recent date dashes and parties.

When the popularity of www.facebook.com mushroomed last year and students across the nation began adding profiles at staggering rates, the biggest concern was parents' fear of cyber-stalking. [Read article]

Zona Zoo makes room for more Wildcats

Finally, a men's basketball ticketing policy that just makes sense. For the first time, students at last night's game against Stanford were allowed to congregate up to four hours early for a chance to purchase unused seats in the nosebleed section. That means that desperate fans finally have some modicum of control over their fates, rather than being at the mercy of the lottery gods. Here's hoping that students take advantage of the opportunity and are able to turn the usually somber crowd at the McKale Center into a raucous cheering machine. For allowing die-hard devotees a chance to see the Cats in action, the new ticketing policy gets a pass. [Read article]

Rodgers' departure answers many fans' prayers

Chris Rodgers' recent departure from the men's basketball team has not only satisfied many dedicated fans' gripes but has also solidified the fact that Lute Olson still can coach. With our subpar start to the 2005-06 season, an action such as this could be exactly what the doctor ordered. Sure, Chris Rodgers is a great basketball player, but is he a team player, or does he have the team's best interest at heart? The answer to those questions is an emphatic "no" - the evidence being an eviction notice posted on his locker at McKale. [Read article]
