A UA employee's $2,700 red SUV was stolen Jan. 17 while it was parked in a Zone 1 lot, 1334 E. Helen St., reports stated.

When police arrived, the employee said she had parked her vehicle around 7:30 a.m. The employee said she had locked her vehicle and that it had an alarm.

The employee said when she came back there was a different car in the space she had parked in.

Police noticed there was no broken glass in the area.

Police spoke to the driver who had parked in the parking space. The driver said she had parked there around 3:45 p.m. and said she hadn't noticed anything suspicious.

Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.

A student's $120 bike was stolen the night of Jan. 16 from Graham-Greenlee Residence Hall, 1418 E. Fourth St., reports stated.

The student told police he had parked his bike around 11 p.m. and said he had noticed it was missing a little while later.

A student found three tears in the right front tire on her car Jan. 17 and said someone had damaged the tire while her car was parked at Kaibab-Huachuca Residence Hall, 940 E. Fourth St., reports stated.

When police arrived, the student had placed the damaged tire in her trunk. She said she had parked her car around 10:30 p.m. on Jan. 16 and said she noticed the damaged tire around 5 p.m. the next day.

The three tears in the tire had caused it to go flat.

Police noticed there was no damage to the rim and the hubcap had circular scratches on it.

The scratches and the tears on the tire were consistent with the tire hitting a curb, reports stated.

Two students' laptops were stolen the night of Jan. 17 from Graham-Greenlee, reports stated.

One of the students told police he had left his room around 6:30 p.m. to visit some friends down the hall. The student said he had left the door unlocked and said when he returned a few hours later the $1,400 laptop was gone.

The other student said she had left her room for a few minutes around 6:45 p.m. and said she had left the door unlocked.

The student said she returned to find her $1,200 laptop gone.

Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.

A man sent an envelope containing $15 and addressed to a woman and a University of Arizona Police Department officer to the UAPD offices, 1852 E. First St., on Jan. 17.

Police did not know why the man had sent the money and attempted to contact the woman who the envelope was addressed to. The envelope said the woman worked at Salpointe Catholic High School.

Police called the high school and employees said the woman was a high school graduate who helps out at the school.

Police called the woman, who said the money was not hers. The woman said the man had sent her rusty nails and broken glass in the past.

The woman told police the man sent her $34 last week.

The woman said she had reported the incidents to Tucson Police Department.

Police told the woman to contact the court if she wanted to get an injunction for harassment, reports stated.

A woman's purse was stolen by another woman Jan. 15 after she left the purse at a table in the Student Union Memorial Center, 1303 E. University Blvd., reports stated.

The woman said she had left her purse on a table around 2 p.m. The woman said when she realized the purse was missing, she asked a student union employee if she had seen it.

The employee said a man had turned in the purse, but said another woman had already picked the purse up.

The employee said the man had told her he had left a note on the table where he found the purse.

The employee said a woman had then brought the note to her and described the purse. The employee said she then gave the purse to the woman, reports stated.

The woman said her wallet, credit cards, a cell phone and various papers had been in the purse.

The purse was later found at a bus stop on East Grant and North Campbell Avenue.

Police put the purse into property for safekeeping and called the woman, who said she would pick up the purse later, reports stated.
