Men's basketball: A rizona at North Carolina - Cats not willing to heel
Arizona rolls into Chapel Hill on 3-game win streak
If the 2004-05 Arizona men's basketball team had held on for the Elite Eight upset against Illinois and then taken out Louisville in the Final Four, this might be the most hyped rematch of the year for college basketball.
Even without that looming in the back of the minds of the Wildcats' minds, Arizona head coach Lute Olson said tomorrow's matchup with North Carolina (11-5) isn't just big for Arizona (13-6, 6-3 Pacific 10 Conference) but is big for the conference as a whole.

With a combined five NCAA national championships, 20 Final Fours, 21 former players currently playing in the NBA, Arizona and North Carolina, two of college basketball's most storied programs, will square off for the first time in a regular-season game tomorrow.
"If it's Carolina, it's always been one of the powers, especially with (Michael) Jordan and James Worthy coming from there and guys like that," junior point guard Mustafa Shakur said. "It's always been one of the big time schools."

Huskies best Cats in rebounding battle
Down by eight at the half, all looked lost for the Arizona women's basketball team.
About three minutes into the second stanza, sophomore forward Ché Oh, playing in her first game back since suffering a concussion against Stanford last week, hit a jumper to cut the Husky lead to two points at 44-42.
Unfortunately for the Wildcats (7-13, 3-7 Pacific 10 Conference), Oh's basket would be the last one they would score for the next 3:48, as the Huskies (14-4, 7-2) used a 16-0 run to ensure all was in fact lost for Arizona, downing the Wildcats 91-73 in Seattle.

Both the Arizona teams enter the meet ranked No. 5, while the Texas men hold the No. 6 ranking and the women No. 10.
