 vs.

Arizona vs. Oregon (men's hoops)

Schwartz:The last time Arizona visited McArthur Court, Salim Stoudamire lit up the Ducks in a UA victory. After carrying the Wildcats on his back the last two games, Salim could break 40 in his home state. If Salim's attitude can continue to match his shooting stroke, as it has since a one-game suspension, Arizona will win more than this tough conference road game.
Arizona 86, Oregon 73

Branam:The Wildcats could certainly use a sweep here, as Washington still looms on the schedule. They have not gotten a road sweep since beating Cal and Stanford in 2003, so they are due. Rowdy McArthur Court doesn't seem to bother this team either - Arizona hasn't lost there since 2002. The UA will let the Ducks stay close and then turn it on in overtime.
Arizona 94, Oregon 89 (OT)

Kensing:Built sometime around the Magna Carta, MacArthur Court, home of the Oregon Ducks, is always a tough place to play. Freshman Malik Hairston may be the next great OU guard, but he has nothing on Salim Stoudamire. The Portland, Ore., native scored 34 in Eugene last year, and coming off two stellar performances last week, don't be surprised if No. 20 powers the Cats to another win.
Arizona 79, Oregon 71

 vs.

Arizona vs. Oregon (women's hoops)

Schwartz:Dee-Dee Wheeler and Shawntinice Polk won't be happy when Oregon comes calling. That's because they will be forced to start a new home win streak after Stanford snapped their 34-game streak Jan. 9. Coming off their first win against a ranked team this year Sunday at UCLA, UA needs to recapture its McKale mojo if they hope to defend their Pac-10 crown.
Arizona 78, Oregon 63

Branam:Oregon's women seem to have the same problem as the UA women – when they are on their home floor they rarely lose, but on the road they are suspect. The Ducks have not lost a Pac-10 home game yet, but they just lost their best 3-point shooter to an ACL injury. It will be close, but the Wildcats will get their second big road win.
Arizona 73, Oregon 68

Kensing:The women's team returns to McKale Center after a split in Los Angeles that included an upset of then-No. 19 UCLA. Jessica Arnold has returned from a shoulder injury, thus completing the UA lineup. Though this OU team is tough, Arizona does not lose at home twice in a row. Expect Dee-Dee Wheeler to run circles around the tall trees of Oregon.
Arizona 85, Oregon 72

 vs.

Arizona vs. ASU (women's gymnastics)

Schwartz:When the Wildcats and Sun Devils meet up, all the records can be thrown out the window. Though UA enters the meet unranked for the first time in 49 polls and ASU sits at No. 7, just ask Mike Stoops how much rankings mean when these teams come together. After knocking off No. 11 Michigan State its last time out, Arizona is poised for another upset.
Arizona defeats ASU

Branam:The Gymcats lost to the Sun Devils by 1.525 points last year, so I'd imagine they are a little bitter about that. Plus, I seem to remember a situation last semester where the UA was unranked and ASU was ranked, and it worked out in our favor. In conclusion, the Gymcats will stick their landings and the Sun Devils, well, won't.
Arizona 194.25, Arizona State 193.18

Kensing:I admit, I know very little about gymnastics, aside from the fact that it may be the most physically demanding sport. What I do know for sure is the Gymcats have an impressive lineup, led by senior dynamo Monica Bisordi. ASU is ranked higher in the polls at No. 7, but since when have rankings ever meant anything in the UA-ASU rivalry?
Arizona wins this one in front of the McKale crowd.

 vs.

Arizona vs. Oklahoma (men's club hockey)

Schwartz:Although the Icecats spent last weekend knocking DePaul around, Oklahoma will provide a stiffer test. While it's tempting to pick like a complete homer and go with the Arizona sweep for the weekend, I've got to go with the higher-ranked Sooners. If Oklahoma plays defense anything like its football team, Arizona will struggle to score.
Oklahoma 2, Arizona 0

Branam:Well, I've picked the UA to win every other time here, so I might as well keep the streak alive. They haven't won a game that I have been at all season and I can't make it this weekend, so they have that working in their favor. Hopefully for them, their offensive prowess against DePaul will carry over to this weekend.
Arizona 2, Oklahoma 0

Kensing:This is going to be an exciting two-game series. Arizona's beat and tied top-ranked opponents Weber State and ASU, and Oklahoma has upset Lindenwood and tied WSU. Yet, neither team can get any respect in the polls. The Icecats are hungry, but Mickey Meehan and Craig Irwin are out with injuries. With such major pieces missing, a sweep could be tough.
Arizona 1, Oklahoma 1
