An employee reported that a suspicious briefcase was left in the Parking and Transportation Services office, 1117 E. Sixth St., Tuesday, reports stated.

Another employee spotted the briefcase after someone left the lobby, reports stated.

On top of the briefcase, a label had "Dr. B De" written on it, reports stated.

Police put the briefcase through an X-ray machine and found no explosives inside, reports stated.

Police opened the briefcase and found a checkbook that identified the owner, reports stated.

Police placed the briefcase into evidence.

A man was arrested Tuesday for possession of narcotics, driving with a suspended driver's license and having five warrants out for his arrest, reports stated.

Police pulled over the man's car on North Sixth Avenue and East Lester Street at 5:14 p.m. after he was traveling 45 mph in a 30 mph zone, reports stated.

Police checked his records and found that the man had five warrants out for his arrest and a suspended driver's license, reports stated.

Police asked the man to step out of his car, and when he did, police found a small glass pipe near the pedals, reports stated.

The pipe had the odor and residue of marijuana, reports stated.

The man said he was trying to hide it in his shoe, reports stated.

The man was taken to Pima County Jail.

A student reported his jacket and cell phone stolen Jan. 27 from the Manuel T. Pacheco Integrated Learning Center, 1500 E. University Blvd., reports stated.

The student was in class at the ILC and unintentionally left the items in the room, reports stated.

The student went back to the room at 7 p.m. but the doors were locked, reports stated.

The student contacted UAPD, but police told him he was not authorized to enter the room, reports stated.

The man said he could see his jacket through the window, reports stated.

The man returned to the room the next morning and the items were missing, reports stated.

Police have no suspects or witnesses.

Someone spray-painted graffiti on a wall near Coronado Residence Hall, 822 E. Fifth St., reports stated.

Police spotted the graffiti on a routine check of the area, reports stated.

The graffiti was black and silver spray-paint on the west wall of the south parking lot, reports stated.

Police attempted to contact Coronado's hall director on the phone but got no answer, reports stated.

Police have no suspects or witnesses.

A student was arrested for underage drinking Jan. 29 when police saw him walking in the middle of the street on East Second Street and North Vine Avenue, reports stated.

Police were doing a routine check of the area and spotted the student walking at 1:48 a.m., reports stated.

The student's eyes were bloodshot and watery and the student had the smell of alcohol on his breath, reports stated.

The student told police he was 18 and was drinking at the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity house, 1801 E. First St., reports stated.

The student said this was his third citation for underage drinking, reports stated.

The student was cited and released on the scene.
