Abortion ad 'low tactic,' propaganda

Editor:

I just saw the advertising insert that was included in this morning's Wildcat and I wish to make a formal complaint. The acceptance of this ad for the money it added to the Wildcat budget is very irresponsible on your part. I find it repulsive to say the least. It is propaganda. It is sick.

Abortion is a very private affair. It is never an easy decision. But it is an option that must be kept open. You are implicitly supporting the efforts of others to foster guilt on a woman who makes a decision to abort.

I am disheartened that an institution such as the press (the Wildcat) would stoop to such a low tactic to punish women by using this advertising. You are putting yourself in the same category as those who accepted advertisement denying the holocaust. Whil e it is a matter of a free press, responsible journalism means considering that you may be giving tacit approval to the advertisers you select. You are ultimately responsible for this.

I still don't believe that you did this.
