This is in response to Christian Hatley's "America bashing" letter. I have only one question for you: Are you a complete idiot? Based on your opinions of this country and the people who make it up, I believe you to be a very close-minded being. Let me ask you this: Have you ever had the chance to travel outside of the States? If you have, and you still carry the opinion that "this country is founded on hatred, pure and simple," then someone needs to kick you in the head. I've had the opportunity to visit another country, and while it was an excellent experience, I kissed the ground the minute I landed back in America. All of us, including yourself, are very fortunate to live in such a place with as much freedom and opportunities that we have. May I suggest one thing to you, Mr. Hatley: If you don't like America and can't appreciate it, then get the hell out! The last thing we need here is another person like YOU spreading the hate that you seemed to despise in your letter. America won't miss you, but you'll be crying to come back!
