Four of Arizona's five golfers competing are in the top five after the first round of the 11th annual Rainbow Wahine Golf Tournament at the Kaneohe Klipper Golf Course Tuesday.The second round concluded late last night.
Leading the pack is Heather Graff who shot a one-under-par 71 on the 5,937-yard course. Maria Baena and Kristen Register are tied for second at 72 and Jeanne Anne Krizman is in fourth with 73. Erin O'Neil of Georgia and Brooke Lawrence of Texas Tech rounded out the top five at 74.
Arizona is leading the field by 15 shots with an even par 288. Texas Tech is in second at 303. BYU, Georgia and Oklahoma State are tied for third at 310.
UA's round of 288 is the team's lowest this season, and Krizman's 73 marks her personal best for this season.
The Arizona men's junior varsity team tied for 12th at the Cleveland Golf Championships at North Ranch Country Club in Westlake Village, Calif.
The Wildcats shot 930 and were led by Scott Willie, who fired a 229.
Two-time defending U.S. Amateur Champion Tiger Woods shot a three-under-par 213 to win the tournament by three shots over Joey Snyder of Arizona State.
