  • The Library offers a free workshop, "Internet: Beyond the Basics," in Science and Engineering Library Room 311 from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m.

    The workshop covers the features of Netscape Navigator software, including advanced searching techniques, file transfer protocol and bookmarks. The workshop is designed for those who have attended the "Introduction to the Internet" workshop.

  • Career Services offers a free workshop on resume writing from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. Students are required to check in at the Career Services reception desk in the lower level of Old Main.

    The workshop will discuss resume formats and how to make work experiences stand out. Writing a cover letter and including references will also be discussed.

  • The Newman Center presents "Color of Fear: Why Race Does Matter," at the Newman Center, on Second Street and Cherry Avenue at 7:30 p.m.

    Sarah Soule, assistant professor of sociology, will present a film showing people's experiences of race and will then lead a discussion about how race shapes perspectives.

  • The UA baseball team plays Radford University at 2:30 p.m. at Frank Sancet Field.

  • The American Red Cross accepts blood donations on the UA Mall from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

  • The Memorial Student Union's Gallagher Theatre shows "101 Dalmatians" at 7:30 p.m. and 9:35 p.m. Admission is $2.50.
