Police release names of four men arrested Monday night

The Tucson Police Department has released the names of four men arrested Monday during celebrations after the Arizona men's basketball team's national championship victory.

Christopher Bartholomew, 21, of the 1000 block of West St. Marys Road, was arrested on charges of criminal damage and criminal trespass.

Police reported that Bartholomew broke four glass globes on a street light as he traveled across North Fourth Avenue by hanging from trolley car wires.

Benjamin A. Richie, 22, of a general delivery address, was arrested on a charge of felony aggravated assault. Police said Richie swung a beer bottle at a Tucson Fire Department firefighter.

Two University of Arizona students, Matthew T. Billetz, 20, a resident of Navajo-Pinal-Sierra Residence Hall, 1557 E. Sixth St., and Paul J. Serafin, 19, of the 1200 block of West Eureka Street, were each arrested on a charge of felony criminal damage after they allegedly damaged an unmarked police car that was overturned on Fourth Avenue.

Lt. Bill Richards, a TPD spokesman, said Tucson police arrested five people during Monday night's disturbance, not six as was previously reported. Information about the fifth person was not available from police yesterday.
