Funding for clubs on campus unfair

I am writing to substantiate Mr. Farnsley's belief that funds for clubs are distributed unfairly ("Sens. Sliger and Garcia's questions on BGALA funding brave, necessary," Wednesday).

As a chairman of a club here on campus, I've found it rather difficult to gain a dollar, much less $5,261.50! In fact, we've received no assistance at all this year, and I fail to see how my organization provides less of a "service" than BGALA does.

I feel it only necessary, therefore, for their chairman or officers to explain to the people whose tuition is paying for their activities, just what those activities are. I'm also very curious how they justify their activities as a "necessary service."
