Athletes don't have to cheer fans; team spirit is a two-way street

Editor:

I have a comment to the person who wrote to the editor to share their disgust with the two basketball players that made comments in the NCAA Championship celebration. Why is it that we as fans do not have to support the team when they are losing but when they win the fans feel like it is all owed to them? It seems you have a double standard in your thinking. I am guilty of losing faith in the Cats but I found their comments valid (even amusing). While it may have not been done in the best manner, I think the players do have the right to share their anger toward the fans not being supportive, just like the fans have the right to share their unhappiness when the team is losing. I feel like this is a two-way street, and if you are so disgusted with the Cats, don't support them anymore!
