By staff reports Arizona Daily Wildcat April 25, 1997 U of A - TodayThe University Activities Board is hosting Comedy Corner in the Memorial Student Union's Cellar at noon and tomorrow at 8 p.m. The show consists of original sketches as well as stand-up and improv comedy.The Slonaker Concert Series brown bag event presents students from the guitar music program to perform various musical selections from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. in the Slonaker House. Microbiology and Immunology Seminar presents Nicholas Restifo, senior investigator at the National Cancer Institute, to speak on "Autoimmunity and the Immunotherapy of Cancer: Targeting the 'Self' to Destroy and 'Other'," in the Arizona Health Sciences Center Room 8403 from noon until 1 p.m. The Linguistics Colloquium presents James McCloskey, of the University of California Santa Cruz, to speak on "Resumptive pronouns and Universal Grammar," in the Douglass Building Room 101 from 2 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. The Asian American Law Students Associaton, The Asian Pacific American Cultural/Resource Center and the Diversity Action Council present Neil T. Gotanda, of the Boston College, to speak on "Is Our Constitution Colorblind? A Criticism of California's Proposition 209 and Asian Campaign Contributions: How Racial Stereotyping Has Hurt Our Communities," in the Martin Luther King Building Room 100 from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m.
Atmospheric Sciences presents Frank Evans, of the department of atmospheric science at the University of Colorado, to speak on "Lumpy, Bumpy, and Broken Clouds: Radiative Transfer Modeling of Realistic Cloud Structure," in the Physics and Atmospheric Sciences Room 220 from 4 p.m. until 5 p.m. Geography Colloquium presents Patricia Gober, of the department of geography at Arizona State University, to speak on "Job Linkages in Inner-City Phoenix," in the Harvill Building Room 401 from 4 p.m. until 5 p.m.
