Badeaux's abortion-clinic violence arguments illogical, thoughtlessEditor: After reading Chris Badeaux's Abortion-clinic violence article, I once again realized how scary it is that our government lay in the hands of the religious right wing. I have many conservative values. Having said that, I believe that as long as any child is physically part of a woman and cannot survive outside of her womb, the woman has a right to what happens to that part of her body. I will not attempt to lecture on whether abortion is right or wrong. I think everyone is pretty clear on where they stand. I will, however, lecture Chris about endorsing terrorism as a means of getting a point across. You bet your ass I would've killed Hitler if I thought it would've saved all of the lives lost because of the Holocaust and World War II. But calling abortion a modern-day Holocaust is out-and-out slander. My question to Chris is: will you support those 25 million lives that weren't forced to endure the pain of being born into a family that didn't necessarily want them? I can tell you for a fact that if my parents had chosen to abort me because they either didn't want me or couldn't bear the financial burden of providing a good life for me, I would love them just the same and I would wait for them to join me for eternity. It's a pity that Chris hasn't evolved beyond the rationality of "since your views aren't the same as my views, I won't like you until I force you to believe what I believe." I would also like to vent my disgust at Chris just for mentioning that little piece of trash about legalizing the rape and crucifixion of women as they walk out of family-planning clinics. Well, my fiancee goes to Planned Parenthood once a month to pick up her pack of pills. I care about her more than anything. "When the avowed purpose of your enemies is either your destruction of the destruction of something about which you deeply care, no means are too extreme."
