Fraternity members' acts at game give Greeks bad name

Editor:

We attended Saturday's football game against Illinois and we had the "pleasure" of sitting next to and behind members of the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. Sitting near these gentlemen in the past has not been a problem. HOWEVER, the amount of liquor consum ed and their childish behavior this week was appalling.

We attend the games to have fun and show our support for the team. The members of the fraternity were too drunk to enjoy the game and they were only interested in the liquor they were consuming and in degrading other people with their rude comments. All w e wanted to do was enjoy the game in OUR seats, but we were forced to move due to the increasing number of people who came to share the already crowded seats. Because their letters were displayed on their clothing, they were representing their fraternity. The impression we have of this fraternity is of a bunch of drunk children making fools of themselves.

Actions such as these by your fraternity members are the reason fraternities have a bad reputation. Next time stay home (where you're much closer to the bathroom) and let the rest of us enjoy the game.
