- Career Services is offering a free workshop on How to Write a Resume in the Memorial Student Union, Room 285 from 4 to 5 p.m.
The workshop will discuss different formats of resumes and how to make specific work experiences stand out. Writing a cover sheet and including references will also be covered.
- The Math Department presents Richard Thompson of the UA to speak on "Reform Calculus Meets Statistics: Discounting the Normal Distribution," in the Math building, Room 501 from 4:15 until 5:15 p.m.
The lecture will use computer animation and computations to discover the form of the standard Bell curve used in statistics.
- The Financial Management Association presents Bill Miller, who will speak on Financial Trends in the Banking Industry in McClelland Hall, Room 129 at 6:45 p.m.
Miller, the vice president of Capital Markets, Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago, will address banking industry trends in the market and job places.
- The Memorial Student Union's Gallagher Theatre is showing "A Time to Kill" at 7:30 p.m. and 10:15 p.m. Admission is $2.50.

The average professional baseball ticket price in 1991 was $8.64. In 1996 the same ticket sold for $11.20 - a 29.6 percent increase.
NBA tickets in 1991 cost on average $23.24. Over the last five years the cost increased 36.8 percent to $31.80.
NFL tickets had the highest increase, rising 41.8 percent over the past five years. In 1991 fans paid $25.21 for a ticket. By 1996 they were paying $35.74 for the same ticket.
