- Career Services is offering a free workshop on how to write a resume from 2 until 3 p.m. Students are required to check in at the Career Services reception desk in the lower level of Old Main.
The workshop will discuss resume formats and how to make work experiences stand out. Writing a cover sheet and including references will also be covered.
- Steward Observatory Public Evenings presents Rainer Mauersberger, visiting scholar, speaking on "Protogalaxies: in Search of the Holy Grail," the fifth lecture of the Big Bang lecture series at the Steward Observatory Auditorium, Room N210 at 7:30 p.m.
After the hour-long lecture there will be a question and answer period. If the weather permits, those in attending are invited to view the night sky through the telescope at Steward Observatory's campus station, aided by members of the UA Astronomy Club.
- The Arizona Archaeological and Historical Society presents Rosemary Apple Blossom Lonewolf to speak on Pueblo pottery in the DuVal Auditorium of the University Medical Center at 7:30 p.m.
Lonewolf will discuss how her family of Pueblo potters resolved, through adoption and adjustment, the dilemmas brought on by European contact.
- The Memorial Student Union's Gallagher Theatre is showing "Independence Day" at 7:30 p.m. and 10:15 p.m. Admission is $2.50.
Fact of the Day
In 1985 there were 2,290 international students from 114 countries who attended the University of Arizona. In 1995 there were 2,150 students from 124 countries attending the university.
