"Citizens" of Third World countries, nutritional science freshman Kristen Truberg (right) and political science sophomore Morgan Long (second from right), serve themselves rice and water at the second annual Hunger Banquet last night in the Memorial Student Union. The 150 students were randomly assigned a socio-economic class to represent. Funded by the Department of Residence Life, the banquet served 15 percent of the students a steak dinner, 25 percent a rice, bean and tortilla meal and 60 percent rice and water from a communal pot. The percentages were intended to mimick the distribution of the Earth's wealth.
