Support and sympathy are with murder victim's family

Editor:

We in Judaic Studies mourn the tragic death of Jennifer Lynn Hoffman in Bucharest last week. Jennifer is remembered by all of us in Judaic studies as a dedicated and hard-working student who always made positive contributions to our classes.

Jennifer, however, was far more than a good student. She was a cheerful and caring person who would go out of her way to help others. She combined solid academic skills and abilities with personal grace and a compassionate social conscience. Jennifer was the kind of student we are blessed to teach and proud to graduate.

We will remember fondly her charming, ever-present smile. Our support and sympathy are with her family in this time of sorrow.
