Some Mall preaching inappropriate

Editor:

I'm writing in response to the Mall preaching that was taking place on Feb. 10. As I got out of class, I was amazed to find such a mob listening.

I just figured that it was our famous "Dave". But I heard a woman's voice shouting over the crowd, so I stopped.

Now I'm not trying to oppress her or the group she was with.

Everyone has a right to free speech, even if I don't agree with anything she was saying.

What upset me was the fact that the group had four little girls with them who couldn't have been more than seven years old.

What group in their right mind brings little kids to a college campus when they know that they are going to be talking about drugs, sex and anything else they believe is sending us to hell?

At one point a student in the audience pulled out a Hustler magazine and showed everyone some very vivid pictures of women.

This is his right. But why should those innocent girls have to be there when it happened?

If this Mall preaching was sponsored by any group on campus, I wish that they would really look into who they are inviting before another incident like this happens.

Thank you for listening.
