BrieflySoon, Spanish-speaking residents of the Old Pueblo can enjoy watching Arizona Diamondbacks games live in their native language thanks to KHRR-TV40. The 1998 season marks the first time a major league baseball team has had a significant schedule of home games produced and aired in Spanish. KHRR-TV40 general manager Peter Padilla said the company is very "excited and proud to be the first Hispanic television station in the United States to broadcast 30 major league games." The first game in Spanish is March 31, when the Arizona Diamondbacks play the Colorado Rockies in their home opener.
By the Numbers251: The number of runs the UA softball team has outscored its opponents. Through its first 34 games, the Wildcats have outscored opponents 292-41. The average is roughly 9-1.
