You never want to pass up a free opportunity, so don't miss a Free Film Showing at 7 tonight. Raconteur Spalding Gray introduces his 1990 monologue "Monster in a Box" in Gallagher Theatre. The movie will be shown on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Robert Devaney of Boston University extends yet another movie opportunity to you today, with Math Movies. Explore the dynamical systems of orbit diagram and the Mandelbrot set in "Transition to Chaos." The film shows at 4 p.m. in Room 202 of the Family and Consumer Resources building.

A junior high outreach band reaches out to the UA community tonight at 8. The School of Music and Dance brings this event to Crowder Hall of the Fine Arts Complex.

UA's Aaron King speaks on "Subharmonic Resonance and Population Cycles, Part I." This afternoon's seminar will be held in Economics, Room 200 from 4 to 5.
