By Kelly Kenneth Klein "Looking for Billy" is OKTo the Editor: While reading the Apr. 20Wildcat, I was a little disappointed by fellow student Matt Harris' disparaging of Jeremy Olson's "Looking for Billy" comic strip ("Save 'Wildcat' readers from "Looking for Billy"). Before he begins making personal attacks on others, Mr. Harris needs to realize that by creating a comic strip that is read by the entire university, a simple student is putting his ass and ego on the line in a way that I, and presumably Mr. Harris as well, would be very hesitant and even afraid to do. Our student newspaper is just that: a student paper in which students experiment and make an effort at an activity in order to learn more about it. Criticism is most likely welcome, but a constructive critique is far more useful than plain insults. Before Mr. Harris starts unnecessarily referring to an individual's "stupidity" or "lack of humor," perhaps he should make his own effort and write his own strip. Since Mr. Harris felt it necessary to write on behalf of everyone at this fine institution, I guess that I should write on behalf of everyone at this fine institution when I apologize to Mr. Olson for the rudeness and insensitivity expressed by some of our more self-involved classmates. Mr. Harris seems to spend far too much energy worrying about the comics pages and not enough worrying about his political science classes - particularly the ones dealing with diplomacy, as he has proven that he is utterly lacking in that particular facet.
