By Harry R. Hueston, II People need more facts to judge UAPDTo the Editor: I would like to respond to Jeannette Jaquish's letter regarding the University of Arizona Police Department ("UAPD should respect "campus crime fighters"). Each day theArizona Daily Wildcat newspaper has assigned a reporter who develops the articles in the Police Beat section of our student newspaper. The contents of each incident reported in Police Beat are the interpretation of the reporter reading many basic police reports taken in the previous 24 hours of events reported to UAPD. In this case, the report was very long, and all of the facts could not be adequately portrayed in the space allotted. Our campus community has been excellent in reporting in progress crimes, and I would like to modify Ms. Jaquish's lessons which all of us can learn: first, to our community please continue in reporting any crime or suspicious actions you see to your police department, and two, I would encourage our readers to please get all of the facts before accusing the police of inappropriate actions. Thanks for the opportunity to respond. Harry R. Hueston, II
